robinwatkinson
The two-day BACKSTAGE ACADEMY® Rigging Course is an in-depth theoretical and practical training course designed for people of all levels of experience. It's delivered in LS-Live's arena-size production rehearsal studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, North UK, using a purpose-designed truss rig and a wide range of safety equipment*. Our rigging course is tutored by Eric Porter, experienced independent rigger, trainer, adviser and committee member for the PLASA National Rigging Certificate. Anyone attending the course will benefit from his wealth of experience and industry knowledge. Freelance lighting technician/designer and rigger Dave Hughes signed up to consolidate his skills and knowledge. He commented: “I was amazed with how much we crammed into two days, and I learnt a lot about the engineering and calculation side of rigging. It was a great revision of skills and Eric shared many tips on achieving an efficient workflow. The area of fall prevention and arrest was particularly interesting and provoked much discussion. Huge thanks to the BACKSTAGE ACADEMY® - a really good course and a great new facility!” To book, register interest and for more information visit our website http://www.backstage-academy.co.uk/course-information/rigging-course
