TeeJay
Hi all, we are looking to get a few extra infra-red headsets to supplement our in-house stock for a described show taking place on Sunday 15th September and we are running into supply issues. We need Sennheiser HDI1029 headsets (or compatible sets) and need to source a minimum of 6 more headsets for that show. Happy enough to hire them if available but these do need to work on a narrowband system. Already tried Sound Induction Systems, M&R Communications, The National, The Royal Court, and have Vocaleyes checking around for me. If you have any, or know of any that we could use in our North London venue on the 15th, then it would be greatly appreciated Cheers
J Pearce
You might possibly have some luck with universities as many use them in lecture theatres where loops would crosstalk into adjacent rooms.
gibbothegreat
I've used Apple Sound http://www.applesound.com/ for these before, very easy process it was too.
TeeJay
To follow up on this - Vocaleyes have been brilliant (as always). We've borrowed a modulator that works with our existing IR rads and also burrowed a load of headsets (currently expecting three dozen attendees for the described show plus spares). We were also talking with Brahler to see if our old Sennheiser system was compatible with their receivers - the specs worked and it would have been interesting to tested that out. Not needed this time but something I'll bear in mind in the future Cheers
