mutley
We need (for Wed 28th August) a 4x4 HDMI matrix switcher (with audio) that is remote controllable by an iPad or iPhone. Does anyone know of any such unit and where to buy one from? (not hire) Thanks
henny
Take A look at http://www.controlfx.co.uk/ they have a Ethernet_to_IR_Control_Server add a cheep off the shelf 4x4 Hdmi Switcher that can take IR Inputs, I did this last year as part of an install using the Control FX soft running on an Ipod touch, with each HDMI feeding a diffrent Room in the venue. TonyMitchell
http://www.kramerelectronics.co.uk/products/model.asp?pid=2511#1list is £1,299Nick Mawer will probably appear soon, he will help you. Their products are very good and worth the extra money over some of the cheaper solutions available.
AHYoung
Id be wary of using ir to control anything other than a dvd player as its not totally reliable and its got no feedback ie you send a command with no idea whether its worked or not. I can vouch for the fact that the Kramer matrixes do actually work, and they as come with ip based control its possible to not only control them, but to get status feedback. Thanks for the recommendation!
