kalmatthew Posted August 9, 2013 Share Posted August 9, 2013 Hi, A supplier used by an Amdram Company I wouk with has been broken into and the costumes on two 6’ rails have all been removed. One rail had mens’ suits and jackets and the other rail had over 150 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s dresses. Also taken were 3 red military jackets with gold braid on the front, a Yeoman of the Guard coat, red breeches and hat, a sheepskin lined flying jacket, goggles and helmet, an RAF greatcoat and some high necked military plain dark navy jackets. The chances of finding any of these is probably zero as they could be taken out of the area for disposal but many of them had GOC written in biro inside the costumes. Obviously they only took items that easily saleable. Please let me know if you happen to see anything offered at a car boot sale, market etc. The police have been told and it may be possible to claim on the insurance but it has taken many years to build up this stock and now have to start again.
