Cleaning Yamaha 01v Screen

I've just picked up an old Yamaha 01v, having only used analogue (mainly soundcraft) mixers in the past. All was going great, until last night I got it out its Gator case and noticed there was loads of white dust sort of stuff underneath the plastic screen protector, sitting on the screen. I was wondering if there is a way to remove the plastic cover so the screen can be cleaned with a bit of cloth. It seems like it might be able to pop off with a bit of force, but I didn't wan't to break it , so thought it might be worth asking on here to see if anyone knew how to do it first. :)
