phil local
Hi, looking at a pair of Mackie 408's and a pair of 410's, any advice on best/cheapest (Oxymoron I know) Amps to run them, thanks in advance, Phil. http://www.mackie.com/products/s408/pdf/S408_OM.pdfhttp://www.manualslib.com/manual/97206/Mackie-S410s.html Manuals, thanks. From what I can work out: S410's: 750W each (x2)S408's: 600W each (x2) total 2700W Am I best using separate amps for tops and bass and if so what power (W) amps would suit best. Cheers. Am I best using separate amps for tops and bass and if so what power (W) amps would suit best. Cheers. Yes, you will also need an active crossover, or loudspeaker management system - the latter is typically a 1U unit that sits in the amp rack above the amps it is controlling. On a budget, the Behhringer DCX seems to be rated. Power wise, you should look at speccing amplifiers rated to drive 1.5 to 2.0 the RMS of the load.
