I'm looking for 2 mid/hi speakers, around £500 a cabinet, I am interested in the ZX4s, are these my best bet, or could I be spending my money on something better?

The EV ZX4 isn't a "mid-high" cabinet, it's a full range box with a 15" LF driver.

OK, you "could" use it as a mid high box... in the same way you could use a screwdriver as a chisel, etc.

That didn't really answer my question though, any recommendations what I could use then?

Do you have amplification, or is there a budget to take care of that?

Do you already have subs that will be used with the new mid-highs? If so, what are they?

What will the system be used for?

How loud does it need to go?

What dispertion pattern would be best for your needs?

a easyier way of asking the same question is how big is the venue(s) and how many punters do you need to cover?
