norty303 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Ok, so one of my QTX hazers has stopped heating, and just spits fluid. The LED's come on blue to say that it's ready to fog, and it does respond to the controller (it doesn't normally when warming up, so it 'thinks' it's ok) I'm thinking this may be a thermostat problem rather than the heater block itself (i.e. it thinks it's up to temp so doesn't heat the block) Does this sound like a reasonable assumption? What should I check to see if it is the thermostat? Should they be open or closed normally? I haven't yet opened it up to meter anything. Also, assuming I might need to replace something, where is the best place for Chauvet/QTX spares? I can find pumps easy enough, but no online indication of heater blocks or thermostats (and I know some places try and make you buy the block just to replace the thermostat...) Thanks for any help you can give
