djtuffer Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Can anyone tell me in use what the difference is between the Philips CDM-T and CDM-T SA lamps is? The specs look very similar apart from the SA having a 6mm arc length instead of 8mm . There is quite a cost difference however. I'm wondering how the output differs?
adam2 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 The overall light output is probably similar, and the cheaper lamps would be fine for floodlighting, architectural use etc.The short arc lamps are a more compact light source and are generally preferable when precise optical control is needed.
