peternewman
Hi Just wondering if anyone else is going to NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) 2005 in Scarborough? If you are then post and we can maybe meet up for a drink or something. PN

techwsussex
I've been before with Hull Truck Youth, years and years back, '99 I think but I've not been since. Owen
PDD
You didn't give an option for "heard of it, going as a punter", which I'm not as that would involve helping to supervise 20 AS-level students... so I'm stuck left behind here! Oh well, a jolly to Scarborough next year maybe?
Techno_Monkey
Was going to go this year, however financial situation means it will have to be next year instead ;) Know lots of people going and some who have been in the past and they all seem to have a great time though... peternewman
Well I guess I'll see those of you who are going there. I'm leaving this evening to stop off at university on the trip up. I might even wear a bit of 181. See you there PN
broadcast_techie
never heard of it, but it sounds interesting, any hints of dates .... (at least something to point those that are in the dark, so to speak, in the right direction)
audio
Website for those not in the know.... One of my mates is tech managing there at a venue which is really a sportshall and they make it into a theatre in eight hours, with a full truss grid and raked seating. I suppose those going will know what I'm on about - he's called Gordon and got longish blonde hair if you see him, say hi!
peternewman
Well its now all over until next year. :o I really enjoyed it and some of the workshops were very interesting, even if it was very tiring at times. I would also recommend it to other students, regardless of your level of experience. I would just like to say thanks to all the companies who helped by running workshops and supplying kit:AC LightingAvolitesD&BLift Turn MoveMartinand especially Stage ElectricsI hope I haven't missed any out, if so then apologies to them. I'm looking forward to next year already, which is early April, and maybe we will see more Blue Room representation next year. He also won the Sound Design award, so congratulations to him.

If you don't know what it is, there is more information here. (The deadline for applications is the 20th Feb). PN
