Sturdy Desk Stands

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommended some resilient microphone desk stands (http://www.mds975.co.uk/Images/amateur_radio/Woodbrass_MS01_Mic_Stand.JPG)? We currently have ones like the one pictured however this is a shared studio which means they get quite badly treated. Frequently the springs seem to be popping off. We're looking for something that is a whole lot stronger, and a bit sturdier.

Cheers

We use O C Whites boom arms - http://www.ocwhite.com/broadcast-arms.html

Not sure on the exact model but it's one of the ones with a vertical rise - however ours don't have the XLR pass-through like these as they are older.

K&M brand have always seemed to last well. They call them "Microphone Desk Arms" if you go searching and Canford certainly used to sell them. They have models that simply clamp on the desk and ones that can be screwed down.

From the K&M SITE.
