Peter Russell
I have an event coming up at the start of the july and need to think about wet weather cover for the PA (We already have a lovely gazebo for the amps and FOH) and the artistic side of me just kicked in. I need to cover my lovely D&B F2 & B2 stacks so they don't get wet, But I can only find tarpaulins in Blue, which won't be very pretty...So does anyone have any suggestions were I can get black tarpaulins from. Many Thanks, Peter :o :(
Rob
Black might be a little tricky, what about transparent plastic - It's easily available and shouldn't look to bad.
peter
You could try your local garden centre - black tarpaulines are used to cover up manure and such pleasantries on farms.
Ben
depending on how much you have to spend the best bet might be pond lining, its black and looks much nicer than any tarp you will get, that with the fact that it is much better at keeping off water in heavy rain and in england that cant be a bad thing
Guest lightnix
How about that Viscine (sic.) stuff used to line garden ponds ? You know, that very thick black polythene. I've used it to protect dimmer racks on outdoor gigs before.
richard
I bought some roofing/builders black plastic from somewhere in Edinburgh last year, it is only sold in 2m wide rolls, but quite cheap, you could maybe line it under proper tarpaulin.. Ben
prey for sunshine whatever happens but I dont think it would be seen as taking precautions, I think I would chose one of the above
Andrew C
You could go to a builder's merchant and get a roll of DPM (Damp proof membrane). This stuff is heavy gauge plastic, black and comes in wide rolls (no, not a clue how wide)
