Ampex DCT

In my quest to keep obsolete video systems alive for archival purposes, I have acquired a couple of Ampex DCT-1700d machines.

All have problems but I am determined to get at least one operational.

 

I have a maintenance manual but what I haven't been able to find are the supplements:

DCT 700d Parts Lists and Schematics, Vol. 1 (1520771)

DCT 700d Parts Lists and Schematics, Vol. 2 (1520772)

Any suggestions where I may be able to find these will be much appreciated.

 

And a more practical question.

One of the machines managed the shred a DCT test tape.

Any hints, do's & dont's on opening the shell and fixing the tape?
