steve s
Has anyone else come across this problem? we are using Golden scans as followspots (without the mirror head obviously) and after a while, when it's good and hot one of them freezes - no control at all. Switch off and let it cool down then switch on and it comes on with full DMX control... then it freezes when it's hot again. The other one is fine and runs just as hot. Have I got to swop the boards around in a process of elimination or can someone point me in the right direction please. :)
greenalien
I assume you've tried giving the dodgy one a good clean, and checked that the fan is working 100%? Next thing is to undo and redo all connections, and pull out and reseat all the chips (taking the usual anti-static precautions).
Richard CSL
change all the 2200 uf 35 volt capacitors on the control board. they expand and dome with age, I had problems with a GS2, spoke to Rick Brown at Pulsar, replaced all the psu capacitors worked fine afterwards. my problem was starting up , sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't. smalljoshua
Could it be a dry joint somewhere that's only showing up when there's a bit of heat on the board? Josh
