Emma Tooze
Just wondering if I can run 2 36W fluorescents from one non-dim circuit? I think the circuits are 3Kw and they work through 15 amp so I'm assuming that should be fine?
dbuckley
If the non-dims are relay switched, then no problem at all. If the non-dims are semiconductor switched, there may be all sorts of problems. Two, 36W fittings may be a bit of an underload, and the leakage through the semiconductors (depending on the type of fluoro) may cause the fluoros to flicker dimly or flash intermittently; if so add a ghost load. If the fluoros are switch start (ie they flicker and flash at startup) there's a chance they could damage the switching element. Proceed with caution. ScottishCol
Emma, can I make a suggestion? Does the fluorees have to dim? Run fluorees off a fixed mains switch. Mix with main theatre lights. Win? Col x
