Golden Scan Ignitor failing

Hey Guys,

 

I think I'm having quite a peculiar problem in one of our GS3's where the ignitor is constantly failing. The most recent one has failed after only 2 weeks, the two before that maybe lasted a month.

 

I have checked for shorts in the lamp wire and replaced with a brand new lamp to no avail.

 

Any ideas on what's happening before I replace it all over again?

Are Pulsar and Clay Paky the same? Or are Pulsar just a supplier?

 

Either way if they can help I will get in touch with them.

Pulsar made all the electronics for Clay Paky which is an italian company.

Well I've not had any reply from Pulsar. I'm going to go ahead and replace the Ballast at the same time as a new ignitor to see if that solves the problem.

They're probably busy with PLASA at the moment - did you try phoning them, or just sent an email? You may not get a response to any emails until PLASA is over, but I bet someone is still answering the phone!
