trevorl
Hi chaps, I'm testing some simple software designed to run lighting and sound cues from a Windows PC. We've included drivers for several USB-DMX interfaces, but the only ArtNet box we've had access to so far is the Enttec ODE. What else is anyone using? And what issues have you run into? Cheers, Trevor
greenalien
Raspberry-Pi plus OLA plus pretty much any dongle you can think of! It's cheap, it's Open-Source, and it works - and OLA can do a whole lot more than just translate ArtNet into DMX...
dbuckley
Me, I'd use a propellor chip, and an external ethernet interface. There are 30 I/O pins, so lose a few for ethernet and the like, and you should be able to have a couple of dozen DMX outputs. No dongles required, just RS485 driver chips, do all the timing in software, which is easy on the propellor architecture.
peternewman
Very late to the party, and I haven't tried it, but 4 Universe Arduino ArtNet Node.
