BoogieBear
Morning folks, Does anyone know what brand the minature wireless IEMs are that are being used for the presenters on the 'Saturday Cookbook' programme on ITV? Thanks in advanceAnton
dbuckley
Never seen the programme, nor likely to, but TV folk don't use IEMs, they use IFBs. Have a google image search for wireless IFB and see if you can find what you are hunting for.
paulears
Probably worth looking through Canford Audio's product line - they do lots of presenter stuff - which can be wired or wireless.

ImagineerTom
There's generic versions of the "invisible" in-ear systems widely available from china now at a,fraction of the price. As others have pointed out though, talk-back earpieces (as widely used in tv) are very different to in ear monitors; the former being designed for relaying purely speech, th latter designed for relaying a reasonably high quality audio mix. I have used a non Phonak brand before and it did not compare to the quality of the real product. Basically you get what you pay for. In reality it is inline with the cost of a beltpack RX and a good wuality in ear molded earpiece. The Future Sonics I use are close to $800 just for the ears. Also, it is better to refer to these as wireless IFB systems and not IEM which is associated with music monitoring. The Phonak does not have the bandwidth nor the custom fit of a molded IEM earpiece.
