bigclive
Been working with some Clay Paky Sharpys and have noticed a quirk that I find annoying. When you exit the self test mode the head promptly whips round to a home position (without DMX) with enough force to wedge unsuspecting fingers between the yoke and base. The design of the yoke is tapered at just the right angle to ensure fingers get well and truly wedged, and the speed high enough to prevent reflex whipping away of hands. That's twice in a matter of days that I've had it happen in the maintenance area with a Sharpy sitting on a flight case. Powerful little beasts too. They seem to show little mercy for fingers. LXbydesign
Yeah, I got caught out by that as well the other day. Bloody hell. Luckily no blood, but a podged finger for a while.!
bigclive
If they weren't such awesome little lights I'd be quite annoyed.
