Bakerboy1977
I am trying to buy a vision mixer for a church. The inputs are 3 cameras and a computer. Sound inputs are not essential. I have heard about the Panasonic MX50. It sounds ideal but Panasonic have stopped making them. The church would like to buy a new vision mixer rather then one of the second hand MX50's on ebay. Can anyone tell me what model replaced the MX50? Or, What vision mixer would be of similar quality?
henny
if its in the compasit/s-video range of quility your looking for I would go for thishttp://www.edirol.com/products/info/v4.html Edirol V 4 mixer with effects.4 inputs, 2 out and a preview. and only about £700 , if its quility your looking for and you have the money ied go for the DATA-VIDEO se-800 , http://www.datavideo.us/products/se_800_main_page.htm 4 in (compisit,s-video,component,DV) with the same out + SDI overlay , no preview as such but with Nextal Box This accessory for any SE-800 will let you see the next source selected on a composite video monitor. It will also operate the tally LED’s on the TLM 404 or let you connect other leds that may be mounted on your camera. this will add preview out. I would defentley get the Remote control for the SE-800.the rcm-90 there is also RMC-120 Network control With the RMC-120 you can have the SE-800 appear on a Windows based network allowing control from different computers
Mr.Si
We have recently bought the Edirol V4 vision mixer - I use it for our youth events The Wave and am starting (from tomorrow) to integrate it with out song projection software "Easy Worship" It has 4 inputs and the usual 2 channels, with the usual T-bar for fading between the two channels. inputs 1&2 both have either composite or s-video. inputs 3&4 have just composite. Output wise, there is 2x composite main outputs and one composite preview output. Find out more at Church Video Or at Edirol Hope this helps they're around £750 I think, maybe less http://www.edirol.com/products/info/images/v4_diagonal.jpg
