Wol
Afternoon all. I'm looking to hire a sennheiser radio mic or 2 with a beltpack *receiver* for use with a camera. I'm guessing that these arent as common to hire as the normal mains powered receivers are. Initially just looked at radiofacilities' website, but was wondering if there are any other known hire companies either in Southampton or Guildford area who have these for hire. Google seems to be trying to sell me the things, and isn't showing up many hire companies, so I'm guessing they're either not that popular, or I'm typing in the wrong search terms! Cheers! Bobbsy
You might be better off with hire companies that specialise in broadcast stuff. We used to use HYPERACTIVE BROADCAST a lot--they're based in Farnborough so not too far from you. From memory (I was last in the game 8 or 9 years ago...sheesh, time flies), their radio mics were mainly Sony, not Sennheiser, but I can vouch for them being very good (and probably more common than Sennies in the "on camera" market). nb705
Also, BCS Audio or IPB Audio (both based in Fareham) should be able to sort you out.
Wol
Thanks for the replies. Will have a look at the suggested companies above and see if I can get anywhere. It's a shame that delivery on such a small item is so expensive!
