portytech
hello all, I theatre group I work with are preforming the play "The Pillowman" and one of the scenes calls for 5 severd childrens toes in a tin. I was just wondering if anyone here had ever made fake toes and how they had done it. Someone has already suggsted some plastacine with laytex paint on top. Thank you in advance. beware
Moulded and painted latex. If you want to buy, google Mandala Studios, Coventry. I've seen them do ears and heads. Toes shouldn't be a big deal for them.
paulears
I'd go with sausages, at least the way my wife cooks them - chipolata types go all shrivelled and lumpy, that look very much like fingers. Failing that, old dolls fingers look like toes.
w/robe
I think this is a situation where the less they are seen the better. The audience know that they cannot be real so if they see them they either think 'what a great prop' or 'what a crap prop'Either way it will destroy the moment better, if you can, to leave as much as possible to their imagination.
