PeterT
Dear All,We have 12 ways of radio transmitters here at the college for which we have a large number of the CPC headset mics, the problem is when they're in use for a show they are a pain to store, they get tangled if you so much as look at them in a funny way and the turns do like to wind the cable around the transmitter trying to be helpful. When not in use they stay in their boxes which means they take up a lot of space in the cupboard as well. So I'm after a dozen pouches or the like to store the current set of 'in use' headsets so they don't take up as much space and avoid tangling together at a moments'notice. I've had a look on CPC but am probably not searching for the right thing! Would be prepared to pay a bit but don't want to go mad on costMany thanks Peter

Tregilibob
Not tried it, but a random thought makes me think shoe/jumper holders... like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hanging-Wardrobe-Storage-Sweater-Organiser/dp/B002IJORGY or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Washable-Oxford-Canvas-Type-Shoe-Organizer/dp/B002FAJL08.Could be stored out the way when shows are not on, and each mic has a "shelf" for their mic/ headset when shows are on - could be hung in the green room for them to put their own away (we wish!) timtheenchanteruk
I use something like these. http://images.bedbathandbeyond.com/assets/product_images/230/4243810207649P.JPG works for during shows, and for storage, put the mics in the bag (still connected to beltpacks) roll it up loosly (so as not to squash anything) and then I keep it in a hard case. jonathan.1
something ive seen use in a school near me, works quite well as they are all separated but then stored as one to keep it together, I think staples sell them at a not unreasonable pricehttp://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/rub/b11_0litreXLOrg.php
livelifetotheverymax
The ones we usually hire come in zip lock bags. It keeps all the cables separate and allows us to store them in a briefcase style flight case. We generally disconnect the transmitters as we're given the headsets back to reduce wear on the connectors. It also means that if a transmitter is connected to the headset the next night it has had it's batteries changed and has been powered on and tested ready for use. cedd
Only thing I'd say about zip lock bags is they don't allow the headset to dry out properly. Taken from a suitably sweaty actor and placed in a ziplock bag seems to me to be a recipe for sealing all that moisture in. I use the same shoe holder Tim mentions above and I've seen the plastic fronts steam up a few times. Thankfully the tops are open so it allows for evaporation. Thanks for that one.
Dj Dunc
A vote for http://www.flints.co.uk/acatalog/Zipper_Bags.html that let the headset dry out fine. Not the cheapest, but get the colour coded ones and it may make your life easier in dishing out mics or what have you.
