Working on a Tour in America

Hi All,

I wondered if anyone here might be able to offer me a bit of US visa advice.

I have been asked by an american artist to travel to the US next year for 2 months to work on a US tour for them.

I would be mixing FOH and heading up sound overall.

I have worked with these guys before in the UK and Europe.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience under these circumstances? If I was going to be travelling with a UK artist/show, then the whole show would get P1 visas for their tour. However, this is a little different, because the artist is American and so I would be almost doing temporary work for them.

Any advice on where to start here?

Thanks,

Chris

+1 to what Roderick says. The artist or production company will have to handle the paperwork and basically be willing and able to justify why they need your specific talents rather than using a local technician.
