skivvy
Hi Guys, Tried a search on this subject and didn't come up with very many answers. In short, I would like to know is it possible to use the new Sennheiser G3 kit on Channel 69? I've had a quick play around with the units and can only tune between 606.000 - 648.000. Only really asking the question as we 'purchased' our licenses for Channel 38 a few days ago only to find that you don't get allocated the frequencies the same way as you did with Channel 69... So the plan is to keep using our Channel 69 frequencies until we need to surrender them. Also giving us some time to work out which frequencies on Channel 38 will work well in our venues. Sorry if this post has been covered before... Cheers.
Bobbsy
Well, they'll sell you units that operate in Channel 69...but those ones won't go down to 38. Basically, the G3 units can tune across a 42MHz bandwidth...and Channels 38 and 69 are too far apart for one set to operate in both. However, the Sennheiser SIFM software should let you work out a set of intermod free frequencies.
skivvy
Thanks Bobbsy... had a feeling that was the answer. Thanks again!
Al M
The 606-648 range is Sennheiser's GB range, and the presets in User Bank 1 are all in channel 38, and intermodulation free, so why not just use these?
