Joe Bleasdale
May need a Hog 3 rack mount unit later this month for about 4/5 weeks to act as a server. I know it's been discontinued, but I would ideally like to have this running 3.2.0 so if anyone has one, let me know please. Thanks.
skier
Hey Joe Does it have to be a "branded" rack hog PC? I have a rack mounted PC running the software if that's any use. S
Joe Bleasdale
Hey, Unfortunately, I want the official rackmount unit. I am finding it really hard to get one. May just get a second Hog 3 instead. Was just to save some space... Thanks anyway.
timmath
Hi Joe I believe a well known TV moving light programmer whose been a long time hog supportet has one, although he was trying to sell it a while ago. TBH I'd just use a PC and a DP8000 as it is more stable the the original H3 hardware.
Joe Bleasdale
Hi Tim, Yeah I know who your talking about. He was selling his whole platform IIRC. He was the only other person I knew with one. Brad @ HES assures me 3.2.0 and above would be fine on a rackmount and after all the full Hog 3 has the same processor, so I think it should be ok. I have a DP8k doing the DMX output on the network too; and possibly a midi/timecode processor. Anyway, thanks for the help :)
