jack hale
hey just wondering if you can go from the link output of an active speaker into an amp then into passive speakers or does the amplified signal go through the link so the passive speakers will be powered by the active ones ? thanks im not 100% sure of the models of the active speakers I'll be going from a soundcraft desk into a powered sub then from that into 2 powered makye tops and would like to link the tops into a qsc gx3 then into peavy pro 15 tops. mervaka
did you mean "powered" and "unpowered"?the former is absolutely fine. you can fanout a line level signal a few times, providing input impedances on the inputs are adequately high. the latter depends on what amp is driving the powered speaker. timsabre
"Link out" on an active speaker might be line level or amplified speaker level - I have seen both. If it is an XLR connector it will be line. If it's a speakon it will be speaker. If a jack, it could be either.
