IA76
Hi We are looking for a HDMI PTZ camera which we would ceiling mount and then use to feed a HDMi projector as well as using the video for recordings which we would then make DVD's from. We have tried CCTV equipment in the past but found that the quality didn't compare to even a camcorder. We have been offered this camera http://www.panasonic...ra-aw-he50,3933 but it's around £5k for the cam and controller. Are there any other HDMI PTZ cameras we should consider? timsabre
Sony BRC-700 with the appropriate output card, similar pricing.
IA76
As a cheaper alternative would it be possible to use a HD IP CCTV camera instead? How would we convert the video in to a format that we could distribute to projectors?

Think you answered your own question in your first post. "HD CCTV" is a curious concept. Have a look at the recent "Using CCTV remote control camera for projection" thread. Pete McCrea
Another vote for the Panasonic options listed above. Have a look at some of the options offered by Vaddio If you want HDMI quality then you'll need to pay for it....
