alibi marcus
Ah hello,Just a small question about Coda's and sharks tooth scrim. Does anyone know the safe working distance of a ground row to scrim? I'd love to do a couple of tests but time and money are not on my side...... any ideas Cheers M
peter
Coda 500s are designed to be used 1.5m from the cyc, and hung at 1.5m centres to give an even spread. The Coda user manual has lots of information, but not safe working distances.
PeterT
AFAIK all modern strand fixtures have a mark on them by the name which gives a minimum distance from any object around 1.5 m. This is certainly true of the quartet range but not too sure about the coda.sorry to be not so helpful, if I get time I'll post a pic of one
alibi marcus
Fair play, the designers gonna love this! Cheers, Look out for the show Theatre alibi's 'close to home'
Guest lightnix
If you really need the lamps to be close to the cyc, have a look at some LED battens, such as Pulsar's Chromabank or the Thomas Pixeline. Far less heat.
robloxley
Yes, your issue with putting your cyc-lighting too close to the cyc will be getting an even coverage.
