yamaha spx 1000 Tap delay

hi doing a gig need tap delay on a budget dos any one now how to get an spx 1000 to do a sensible tap delay.

I don't think this information is correct.

 

My recollection is that although you cannot access a tap delay from the front panel on the SPX1000, you can get one by using a foot pedal. The foot pedal doesn't need to be complicated, it's simply a jack with a pushswitch on the end of it.

I know you said you doing it on a budget but you can normally hire a D-Two for about £10 a day and then you'll have all sorts of lovely delays.

I put my hands up and admit I am wrong.

The quest to provide a fuller answer led me to a manual for a Yamaha SPX1000.

 

...and Waster, you are completely correct, there is not a tap delay function on an SPX1000, neither front panel or footswitch methods are available.
