artandartists Posted May 24, 2011 Share Posted May 24, 2011 I have a EV P1200 on the bench . Not repaired these before. Symptoms are both protect lights come on. And the heat sink gets warm .If I check the dc on output its fine. The fan circuit works fine. And if I check the bias current its 5mV as per manual. However if I adjuct the bias on chB to 100mV the amp comes out of protect and passes audio OK ( but the heatsink gets very hot. )Not having done these amps before does anyone have any quick. "I know what that is " suggestions.I have already removed and checked the output transistors on chB for problems and they are fine. I did notice a -28v drive to the crowbar device...
