gouge
I have a behringer sl2442fx pro mixing desk. When I power it on it stays on for about five minutes, and then continuously restarts over and over again. I can buy a new psu from www.pms-electronics.com , but that will set be back about £70. I have taken the psu apart and cleaned out all the corrosion that was there, and the desk now stays on for about twice as long before restarting continuously. Any ideas what may be causing the problem??
timd
If cleaning up the PSU fixes it a bit but not fully, sounds like the PSU isn't full fixed yet...
Sound Man
Are these power supplies those horrible Switch Mode type? Those sort arn't very easy to repair. David
gouge
Yes they are the switch mode type. In the end I sent the PSU to a company called Olympus Electronics in Liverpool and they fixed it for me. I think they replaced the start-up capacitors or something, but it works fine now, bar it getting a bit hot.
