Hello all,

I am a complete novice at this and trying to work it out.

I want to be able to trigger a cue from a button using midi. I think this is the best way. I have a usb to midi and a button but I am having problems getting Multiplay to respond.

What do I need to do?

Sorry is this dose not make sense.I don't do sound

Cheers

Are you trying to use Midi to trigger an external device from Multiplay or trying to trigger Multiplay from your switch. Multiplay doesn't support Midi inputs so the easiest way of using an external switch is to canibalise a usb keyboard. If you identify the two connections that are made when you press the required function ( spacebar = GO for example ) you can wire the switch to these points and then cut away the rest of the keyboard leaving the keyboard ic connected to the usb lead, fitting it all into a smallish box like

this and this
