SceneMaster
Hi, I have found a pen which lights up purple down the sides… when taking it apart I found a led (well what I think is an LED ;)). It glows bright purple and makes things (white things) glow like UV does when it is pointed at an item. Now my gut instinct is that it is just a ultra bright purple LED and that it is impossible to create a UV LED but I could be wrong. I can see who this could be done. Any thoughts… (and could someone reassure me it is not a uv source :** laughs out loud **: ) Scenemaster
computer
you can buy UV LEDs at maplin and such for about 2.99 a pop (cheaper from places like farnell). Don't look directly into it or it may damage your eyesight - I'm sure others here know more about UV LEDs than me...
