peter
Try these companies, as listed on Shepperd.co.uk - if you can't find what you want on that page, try searching Shepperd. You might find it hard to hire trucks specifically, as they're often built on a show by show basis - Stage Electrics may hire you trucks as part of their set packages. lightbulb789
I looked on Shepperd and they mostly have Sets for Presentations etc. There was one site that I was looking for but they mostly do Backdrops. Forgoten where it was. But at a theatre they hire all there Backdrops and Trucks and the trucks come Kind of Flat packed.
colinmonk
Do you need trucks for a specific production? As Peter says, most scenic companies who stock trucks have ones that are built for a specific production, rather than a blank truck to mod... If its for a show that doesnt already have a set available you would probably have to look at getting it constructed yourself, either in your own workshops or putting it out to another contractor. andy_s
if you need standard size trucks, you could hire steeldeck units and wheels, then build up to the size you want. don't know if this is particularly cost effective, though...
sam.henderson
I did the steeldeck thing the other week (hired the casters from Stage LX) and it worked nicely. Only problem is when your screwing stuff in there is a metal (steel) cross in the middle and arround the outsides so you have o work arround that.
