Faulty smoke machine

Hi Everyone,

 

 

I am currently working on a talent show in which I am using a smoke machine.

The smoke machine is a cheap model that doesn't even have a makers name on it!!! Last week it was working but when I went to try it yesterday it wouldn't pump out smoke.

Could the machine be blocked?

If so how do I go about cleaning it?

It could be blocked. Can you hear the pump trying to work?

Have a browse and let us know how you got on.

(General consensus seems to be that it's not worth trying on an un-named fogger, but a caring crew member has just resurrected the nameless fogger that's been sat in a puddle in the orchestra pit since last panto. :) so you've nothing to lose by trying.)

Yes we can hear the pump trying to pump out smoke.

I know it's obvious but.... the reservoir presumably has smoke fluid in it?

Have a look to see if there is a filter block on the end of the tube going into the fluid reservoir - it may be blocked.
