Nick512 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I saw something in one of the topics looking for examples of lighting plots. So I thought that I would start off with an Example from a tour last year. Here is a Link to Kylie's US Theatre Tour Plot.

Smiffy Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Very nice gesture Nick. What do you Draft in these days? I'm still a WYG / AutoCAD man but suspect you are using Vectorworks? Cheers Smiffy
CharlieH Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Thanks to both of you - really interesting to see a proper design :)
Nick512 Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 No Problems.. I draft in Vectorworks.. I find it really nice for lighting.. and the import / export to autocad is great these days too.
HobitLight Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Thanks guys, really interesting to have a look at! :)
LXbydesign Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 VW Spotlight for me!! Just found WYG and autocad to fiddly. Although sometimes, depending on the job, its nice for a bit of nostalga and use stencils and die-line copies!!
Big Jay Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 As Nick, VW for me, it's so Much more flexible ands easier to read!
mark_s Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 If anyone has a particular interest in dance, Hofesh Shechter Company have various technical documents published on their website, including lighting plans.
