A very long DMX run.

Especially for a one night show; I would use a remote console and operator. It would be very reliable, and simple. Set up a basic list of cues on the remote console. Use a reliable 2-way comm system and work out a simple communication strategy with the remote operator such as:

You: "stand by on [cue name]"

Them: "[cue name] ready"

You: "[cue name] GO!"

As it's a busked show, there is not likely to be a 'proper' cue structure as such. And unless the other operator is a guy that you work with all the time, then busking over comms is not an easy task.
