TechWi Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Does anyone know where can I get a giant tea cups (Alice in Wonderland style) ? Thank you!
Neil Hampson Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 How big is 'Giant'?Seriously, one of our local independent garden centres were selling large cups and saucers as plant pots, they were about 18" diamerter and about 10" deep, available in various colours and patters. They weren't cheap though. I'm sure I've seen them in other places though, mainly in gardening sections as planters as above.
pritch Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 If you have a branch of Boundary Mills near you (not that we know where "near you" is - please fill it in on your profile), they were selling the planters that Neil mentions when I went there a month or so ago - might be cheaper than your local garden centre.
TechWi Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 By giant I mean at least 3 foot deep...and preferably if they were somewhere in Scotland :unsure:Thanx
Tris Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 you mean something like this...? http://www.eventprophire.com/themes/alice-...cup-saucer-prop Based in York but they do various delivery/collection options
Eilidh Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I'd say your best bet is to make them or outsource to someone who can. Chicken wire as a base and papier machee or fibreglass over it. Otherwise, do as the other posters suggest and go check out your nearest garden centre or Homebase/B&Q. If nothing else they might have big enough flowerpots or dustbin-type things that you can then add a wooden or whickenwire/paper machee/fibreglass handle to and paint up. You can try your luck with one of these: http://www.neildrover.com/stagelighting_prop_hire.htmhttp://www.partypop.co.uk/categories/Props...ry/Scotland.htmhttp://www.edinfilm.com/production_guide/F...ps_and_services Basically just google "props hire Scotland and you should get a bunch of results, that's what I did and I only looked at page 1.
