music and light synch

hello everyone.

I still don't understand how to write normally in this forum, I have to choose on left panel "insert: center" or words just don't appear in the text box.

Anyway, a friend of mine who is a drummer bought some small lights, a couple of par 56 and 2 little scanners, and wanted to make a live show while he plays. He obviously can't use hand on a mixer while playing, so he would need something that, with a soud to light option, could play light memories.

Is there something economical that maybe some musicians in feasts, weddings and stuff like that usually use?

or is there any alternative?
