the NSP is in artnet mode and has an ip that is in the right range and can be Pinged from my other connected computers

and reading the NSP manual fails to enlighten as to correct settings

I've never used an NSP but using 2-port usualy comes with theese 'problems':

Is it in the right session ID?

Is a session running?

Isn't it easier to use MA-net?

Is DMX via ethernet enabled?

someone more experienced will shurley know where your problem lies;-)

So... An NSP running as an ArtNet node (not as an NSP running MA net) will need to be in the ip address of 2.x.x.x NOT the MA network range.

That said, if you are using an MA console, just run it in NSP mode. If you need to output art-net (ie to media servers) you do not need to change modes on the NSP, but you do need to make sure your media servers/other nodes are listening on the 2.x.x.x subnet - and the MA will then be able to auto-discover it.

Thanks I think we have found solution ----Hex must be some strange lighting concept to confuse video crew....

We are actually running 9 catalyst servers from a MA lite and NSP with onPC as a backup...

the 2nd NSP is running in artnet mode to strip out pixelmad info for some LED fixtures
