WolvesAndi
Hello All, Been told that a laser we own is LED, that it is LED imitating a laser tube. The link is below http://www.uni-lyte.net/product/sub_lighti...Edit&id=331 Cant see anywhere there that says it is LED based, some people are telling me that LED lasers dont exist, just want to prove this guy wrong. Am I talking out of my arse or am I right? Thanks in advance Andi
madorangepanda
Probably talking about Laser Diodes. Based upon a vaguely similar semiconductor structure to an LED. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_diode
greenalien
You should be able to tell just by observing the beam in a bit of smoke - if it doesn't diverge (much), it's a laser.
