For background reading on what is becoming a very hot topic, see the links in my posting on "Employed vs. Self-Employed" in the Useful Websites forum.

I have allowed replies to this poll, as I am interested in the reasons behind people's choices.

For anyone who does much work for overseas clients (not overseas work for a British company - spot the difference!), a limited co. is the only sensible way to go. Work permits, foreign employment law etc. make life hell if you're classed as an employee. For work at home an ltd. may also have some tax advantages if you do it right, but you _need_ a proper accountant and the time to do all the paperwork.
