adam5365
We have just been given a 100volt line amp, and wondered if there was any way of testing the output with conventional speakers, the amp has "normal" outputs that work ok, but we would like to use the 100volt at our outdoor event in august. KevinE
If the low impedance works ok, you can pretty much bank on the 100v being ok as it's usually just through an internal transformer that's normally quite reliable; sometimes driven off the low imp output, other times the low impedance and high impedance share tappings on a common transformer. As a quick test, if you have an analogue avo, stick it across the 100V output on AC volts and speak into the mic, it should give a good deflection. I assume you dont have a spare 100V line transformer lying around to test it.
