AlexLinney Posted September 22, 2009 Share Posted September 22, 2009 I am trying to repair a Strand Act 6+ dimmer for a local theatre. I have already repaired faults with two of the channels. However channel 6 stays stuck on full with no control voltage applied. This is NOT a faulty triac as I have tested this. It is definitely control circuit related as there is a slight delay upon power up as the power supply capacitors charge. The fault seems very similar to Zero 88 Beta Pack MK1s I have seen where the 100K resistors go high value, but there pairs of channels are affected at once. In the act 6 + much of the components are surface mount, so it is quite hard to see what is going on.
