davebluemg
hi everyone I have some mac 500s one of them has a problem on the tilt stepper, the wheel that goes through the sensor has come loose from the motor shaft so the tilt fb sensor cant find its position so an error keeps coming up on the display. Do I have to strip the whole unit down to get the stepper out and once I have it out is there any particular position for the wheel to go back on the shaft as I cant see any markings on it.We are doing a charity gig at weekend and havn't got time to send it in for repair can anyone please help many thanks david. Hi mate The broken wheel is the tilt encoder wheel, it's bolted onto the stepper motor, get in touch with a company like Stage Electrics and order a tilt encoder wheel, you'll have to remove the stepper motor and replace the wheel, these are cheap but a lot of work involved. hope it helps.
