Ian H Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 We are currently experiancing problems with some BRC300s we have 4 cameras running via a r300 remote using looped serial over cat5 All cameras are working fine until you plug in the Serial cables .... then 1,2 and 3 work ok and the SDI signal from 4 breaks up. individually all cameras seem ok --- but when you start patching them together and adding rs232 the pictures seem to go unstable? any body got any experiance with this.... Possum Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 Hi Ian I've used the BRC's on a number of shows - when daisy chaining I've only ever used the In/Out RS422 and only once had a problem - it came down to a grounding problem where the SDI output was coupled to 'real' earth which was noiseyIf you're running RS232, it might be worth swapping to the 422 port as these are better isolated Good Luck!
