Strand 530

If you download the standard Strand operating system software from the strand website, run the .exe file, it should prompt you to install it as many different versions, including Offline Editor (press O) - after that, its exactly the same. The software isnt an 'offline editor' as such - its the software running on a Pc instead of a light desk - add a DMX output card, pay Strand for the unlock code, and your pc will output DMX just like a 530.

Hope this makes sense.

PS: The offline editor wont run on anything above Windows98, as it requires real mode DOS - you can get a DOS emulator to run in windows xp, but its not free <_<

You'll also need to get the key mappings chart - as Peter says it isn't a true offline editor, and all the buttons and softkeys on the desk map to (sometimes not at all obvious) keys on the PC keyboard.

You can find this mappings chart in the back of the GeniusPro manual (at least the manual for v2.4 has it, not sure if there's an updated manual out there yet).
