gingerben
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had used a Pro-Signal MP33713 from CPC as a stage floor boundary mic? I was wondering how effective they are. Obviously they won't be as good as a Crown PCC160 but they are a lot cheaper! Basically I need to set up mics to provide foldback to an off stage band for a musical production. The stage has an apron at the front and two raised sections upstage. The mics won't be used FoH but the do need to be good enough for the MD to know what's going on. Any advice would be great. The budget is next to nothing (mostly out of the MDs own pocket) so cheapness is the key!
Chris Beesley
For the money its a reasonable mic (but then I would say that ) This is a better quality budget mic >> Clicky!
smalljoshua
I'll vouch for the mic Chris recommended. I used 4 over the half term and was very happy with the sound of them. Josh
charl.ie
The problem with the mic Chris recommends is that you won't get it from CPC until some time in May... I recently recommended them for my school and was told to find something else because of this. They are available (at £2 extra) here.
