johnlinford
The safety lock on a semi-automatic blank firing gun in my theatre has died a death and a bit has gone missing (grr to people not reporting damage...). Anyone got any reccomendations for where to get spare parts or to get it repaired in the Cambridge area? Thanks!
gyro_gearloose
Without knowing what make of gun you've got, the short answer is no! Try contacting gunsmiths in your area. They might be able to help.
David Lee
Not much help, but an old colleague, Steve Hawkins, who used to work at Ancient Lights in Cambridge, was a licensed weapons guy. Not certain he still is in Cambridge. you could try asking Paul Curtis at Stage Electrics (Cambridge), he may know of his whereabouts.
ClanMan
They're not in Cambridge but History in the Making are specialist RFDs and Armourers for the theatre. Repairing blank-firers can be tricky: with the new gun laws the market has dried up and replacement parts can be hard to find. It can often be cheaper to replace the gun. Give Hamish a call and he can talk you through it.
